I am strongly committed to capacity building for conservation. I create online and face-to-face courses/resources for research and monitoring, fostering conservation action based on sound science.
After my DPhil, I made the strategic decision to develop myself as a trainer and mentor, as I believe that my impact will be greatest through enhancing the skills of in-country nationals.
In 2009 I set up the WildCRU's face-to-face PGDip in International Wildlife Conservation Practice. Wanting to broaden access to my training, I established the WildCRU's WebLearn site and now create online modules in conservation research techniques.
